Sound bars

Anyone got a sound bar for tv.Are they worth it and does it make a significant improvement

We have a Sonos Beam which is very good.

Yes, I have a Samsung soundbar and it's very good, gets rid of that tinny sound that you experience with the TV speakers.

We also have the Samsung. It is their symphony system which also utilises the TV speakers with a separate woofer.

A mid range system, but it makes a big difference.

In the caravan, we used a Bluetooth speaker for the tv sound. Bose in our case. As the tv sound was pathetic, it made a massive difference..

A good sound system does not have to mean loud.

We also use a Bose mini in the caravan. Louder in the caravan, but cannot be heard outside. TV speakers tend to blast out the back of a TV.

We bought an Avtex TV and got an excellent offer on the matching soundbar. Excellent combo.

We bought the combination when they first came out and had a lot of issues with delay that Avtex could not resolve. They gave us a full refund and we bought a LG 28" instead.
