Speeding Horse!!!!!!

Was driving along the A38 from Exeter to Plymouth today, dawdling along at 70mph (ish),
In my rear veiw mirror was a Toyota Landcruiser towing what was a horse box, it was gaining on me
very rapidly. Then whooosh it past me by with a Horse in the box!!!
Out of curiosity,as you do, I decided to follow but when I got to 80mph (tut Tut I hear you say) I dropped back
and watched it sway from side to side and then disappear.
A differant meaning to horse power perhaps!!

I feel sorry for the horse.
Just imagine the damage that would be done to it had the driver had to brake hard?????????

I am sure I read somewhere that there is a maximum allowed speed limit for hoses in transit, and it certainly was not anything like 60, 70 or 80mph.

I think it was 30,,,,,,,,,,,

Like you Damien I did think about the horse, and I also thought as it was a twin box with the horse on one side and empty on the other how unstable it must be.
