Spilt cream on carpet - Argggh

Hello

Not sure if 'Technical' is the right catergory to post this question in? But I spilt half a tub of cream when clearing out the fridge and it went on carpet. I did clean as quick as I could with warm water and a cloth, but im worried its going to start to smell. Does anyone have advise on getting rid of smell?

Try a tray of cat litter in the caravan....I did a similar thing with a bottle of milk in my car and it worked....it absorbes the smell, apparantly.
