status 530

is it me having short arms or am i supose to take me ladders on hol every time we want to extend the arial antenays on each side of the status 530 to get the max out of the fetures of this arial? , or are they for show only. chris

As far as I understand they are not required for use in the uk.I still see people on site with them extended,rather hard to reach!!!!

Further info from Grade web site

Q: What are the chrome telescopics for?

A: The telescopics are for VHF reception abroad and FM radio.

So they would be required in the uk if your radio is connected,not for TV.
