I recently purchased a new Bailey 665 motorhome and I am sure it is pulling to the left. I have read that other people have had similar issues. I would be interested to here others people comments about this issue. I live in Surrey and finding a Peugeot dealer to test the wheel alignment appears to be difficult due to the size of the vehicle. Would welcome comments as this is very frustrating

Franchises for large vehicles are often carried by different garages that for cars. That's certainly the case here anyway. For something like wheel alignment, though, you shouldn't need a Peugeot dealer,. Look for a specialist truck/van service and repair company in your area as they should be able to do it.

Hi Michael, and welcome.
You've probably already done this, but check your tyre pressures first - it CAN sometimes be that simple.
Otherwise, as Graham says, don't worry about a Peugeot dealer initially - a check up at a decent local place will probably cost less than the fuel you'd use going to a distant Peugeot large-vehicle franchise.

Thanks for the reply, I have managed to find a tyre place that can check the alignment, I will try them first. The more I read on the subject I realise I am not the only person with this issue

Hi, Good to hear from you and thanks for the reply. I have located a local place that can check the alignment, hope they can sort it. Although I understand some larger vehicles are set up to pull to the left for safety reasons.

I struggle to think how that could be a design safety feature - if driving in mainland Europe that would tend to pull you toward oncoming traffic ??

Oh cynical me ...

Historically, some vehicles pulled to the left because of the way the steering was adapted from LHD. Some pull to the left as a safety issue so that in the UK, if the driver is incapacitated, the vehicle will drift left and hopefully to safety rather than into oncoming traffic. Most UK vehicles do not go abroad. I do not know whether this steering bias is still the case although my son's new Iveco Daily van pulls to the left when he takes his hands off the steering wheel. It can be corrected by mechanics.

Much more likely is the reasons already given.
