Sterling Europa front drawer unit

After 4 years I have discovered that the drawer unit removes by simply lifting up and pulling forward. I feel a bit stupid! I just thought the build quality was so poor it was meant to rattle around.
BUT the real question is what do I do with it when I have removed it? It will slot down into space between front seats, that's ok if you want to make up very large bed, but I would like to have option of lounge style U seating.
Am I looking for a solution that doesn't exist? Surely they must have thought this one through? Maybe not when you consider the poor workspace.
Cheers, Bob.

Most manufacturers offer a wrap-around seating option, to turn the space vacated by the chest, into a seating area. However, you obviously have to leave the chest at home! However, you may find that there isn't enough seat depth or height to the window to make a comfortable seat. We HAD wrap around seating, but replaced it with a front chest!
