stop over at dover

hi all looking for some were to stop at dover as are ferry leaves at 0200 hrs and wont to get are heads down for a few hours

There is no problem parking on Dover sea front (don't tell everyone!!!). Just go to the opposite (Western) end and there are quite a few free, marked out, spaces which are used by caravans and motorhomes. We stayed there from 7pm until about 1am for the 2am ferry at the end of May. You can even go in the sea front hotels there for coffee, in sight of the van. There is a one way system in the area, so you need to approach from the west.
