Stowford and Dornafield caravan paks, Devon

we have just booked a week at Stowford caravan park in Devon, for one week in August, i was just wondering if anybody had any experiences of this site. we have also got on at Dornafield, also in devon.

we have took what sites we could find, as most are solid now for the school holidays, since we have just bought a new caravan (we pick up on Thursday, im like a big kid waiting for Xmas !!)and we was going to wait till we dropped on the right caravan for us after selling our old one. so we didnt book anywhere. luckliy we found what we wanted straight away. (our local dealer is a gem!!!)

so just wondered if they are good sites and will they keep the kids happy so me and hubby can relax(well try as much as you can with 3 kids)

its been a while since ive been to stowford, but its a big site spread over many fields.

Swimming pool, crazy golf (back then not sure if now?)

Plenty of room for the kids to run around and close access to the coast.

Spotless showers/toilets - really really clean with fresh flowers, a weather report in the loo's and the radio playing....oh and plenty of shower's and loo's too ! nice site

We had a week at Dornafield in June and it's one of the best sites that I've stayed on.

We stayed in Buttermeadow and pitched opposite the toilet block. Nicely laid out with excellent amenities - all pitches have their own tap, drainage and aerial socket. The toilets were refurbished earlier this year and it is easy to see why they have been past winners of 'Loo of the Year'.

You can get everything you need in the shop but Newton Abbott is only a couple of miles away for supermarkets etc. A fish and chip van visits the site on a Monday and Friday evening.

Take care on your way into and out of the site. The lanes leading from the main road are quite narrow in places.
