stranraer to blackpool

Travelling from stranraer to lakes and blackpool over 2/3 weeks any recommendations for sites or places to visit sites to see for 2 45-55 year olds who are young at heart would be welcome.

Highly recomend the Southport CC site, not stayed at the Blackpool one but CC site's normally second to none.

Hi William,

We usually go to Blackpool at least once a year and have stayed at Windy Harbour, Eastham Hall and the Caravan Club site in Blackpool. We would recommend the CC one out of those three for facilities and proximity to Blackpool. Windy Harbour does have a club onsite though, if required.

We've also stayed at Holgates in the lakes. Excellent site, with a relaxing atmos, peaceful surroundings and excellent facilities eg pool, bar etc. Highly recommended.

The Camping and Caravan Club site in Keswick gives a bit of a contrast, in that it's right in the town of Keswick, with all of it's attractions and yet still remains peaceful and right on the banks of the lake.

Just a couple of suggestions of a few sites that have great memories for us. Hope they help.
