My wife would also like information on any value for money touring site in the Stratford upon Avon area as well as Chester. Remember we are now humble pensioners living off a crust of bread and can't afford a lot from the Governmant pay out. Sob Sob

Monks Barn farm is a lovely CL, river walks and you can also walk into Stratford and to the local pub in Clifford Chambers. They also have some elec HU but we always ask to go down to the 'rally field' if its free - lovely views and sunsets and peaceful!

Its 2 mins drive into Stratford from there

Yes Monks barn is all you say and the owners are very helpfull they used to do bed breakfast

Chester area.There is the Caravan Club site Chester Fairoaks near Ellesmere Port.Up to the usual Club standards,and within walking distance of the huge outlet village.The ladies always enjoy a visit there.You can drive to a park & ride near the zoo.Don't take the car into Chester as parking is a nightmare.

Lamb Cottage caravan park east of Chester is not cheap,but the facilities are 1st class.Look at their web site:-

It is an adult only site,and very convenient for the motorways.
