You seem surprised surfer.
Until these buffoons in their ivory towers are made to recompense the tax payer out of their own salaries it will continue. The problem lies in the fact that political correctness is now so ingrained into the psyche of these town hall despots that it will take a miracle for it to disappear and don't expect too much of the present incumbents in government to rectify it. As long as they are in bed with Cleggover, Cable, Huhne and the like, people who wield too much power for their own importance, it will not change in this parliaments time. If you saw Cleggovers speach yesterday you will see how deluded and full of his own self importance he is

Your Lordship,

It seems this is an oppertunity for you to start a movement for an amendment in the upper house.

including nonentities like Lord Mandelson of Foy in the County of Herefordshire
smiley-undecided.gif

For anyones information on how he got that title and what connection he has with Herefordshire is that as a child he once stayed in a rented cottage at Foy with his parents. If you think that I'm kidding I kid you not

On a similar theme ... I learnt today the reason the goal posts hadn't been erected on our village playing field was the Parish Council couldn't find anyone 'qualified' to erect them, they were also at a loss because one of the bolts evidently needed to be replaced.
Does anyone know a person with an honours degree in goal post erection???
Is this what made Great Britain GREAT.
