Summer Skiing in Tignes - France

Hoping to try a day summer skiing in France and was looking at a resort called Tignes. Just wondering has anyone out there stayed in a site close to the resort that they would suggest staying at again or even one to avoid.

Any comments about summer skiing also appreciated
