Sunncamp rotunde 300 awning

Anybody any experience with above ? Been offered one cheap. Any Good?

I have had a Sunncamp 390 air awning for about 6 years, very robust construction and thick quality fabric if that's any help (never even heard of a rotunde awning)

bb these Rotunde’s were made from a lightweight material. Most lightweights don’t last long but if one suits your needs by all means give it a go.

We tried the lightweights years ago and were disappointed. Not very good in moderate rain or winds.
Save up your money and if you want a porch awning go for the Isabella Magnum range with carbon x poles Brilliant.

We have a Sunncamp Air 290 porch awning, lightweight, over 10 years old now. Still waterproof, lots of use out of it.
Also had an Carbonlite, poled awning 390 light weight material also about 10 years old
But we use the awning for night protection from rain, not for sitting outside at night time.
If I wanted to do that I would get a tent. Like my sons. .

I already have a Inaca Kalahari awning which I find great, that I picked up for £60 which has served me well. I saw the Sunncamp one for £50 which has only 1 pole to erect, which might be easier for me as I'm getting on. As you can see I love a bargain 👌

We have the air version of these which we use for shorter stays. As Dustydog says, the material used on these is of the cheaper/thinner type and in the 7 years we've had ours it has become very discoloured by the UV lights and this year we noticed it appears to have hardened and gone brittle (but no rips yet!). Also the material seems to be quite prone to condensation.

For a cheap & cheerful awning they're great, just don't expect Isabella robustness.

At £50, it would be worth a punt even if you only got 2 years use out of it. Even a second hand Isabella at c£400 ( if you can find one) would have to last you 16 years to work out the same.

We used a lightweight fabric awning for some years. I initially bought it for France and summer, but the period spanned then from spring to autumn. As others have said it can get condensation at times especially early and late season. It life ended as the polyurethane inner coating degraded and it lost waterproofing. Originally cost £60 as flood damaged stock, but on opening there was no damage anyway.
