does anyone know the difference between the 2008 model and the 2009 model? i have bought the 390 plus but all it says on the box is ultima 390! and on the bag and flysheet!

I believe the 390 Plus 2009 has the rear poles that sit flush to the caravan, the original didn't have them.

i really like my 390 but for the fact of not being able to get a tighter fit against the van.
If the 2009 has poles this would greatly improve it in my mind.

If you're thinking of changing you should really check out the Kampa Rally take on this style (390 & 260).
More expensive but possibly a bit sturdier - poles are half steel and half fibreglass which if nothing else reduces threading poles into sleeves by 50%. Also slightly larger with a depth of 2.5 instead of 2.4m
Used ours twice now. 2nd time for a week of wind and heavy rain where the only problem was an occasional drip from the toggle & loop points that secure the rolled up blinds at the top of the outer windows. Some seam sealer will hopefully cure that next time out. No overhead leaks at all.

The 2009 model, as well as having the vertical poles at the back, also has two steel poles that fix length ways across the roof

I have just bought a Suncamp 390, used twice over the last 3 weeks, there are no poles to go beside the van, but has 2 door poles.
I never seen a 2008 model, but all the ones I have looked at are the same.
Fully erected in 15 minutes, never put one up before, we have awnings, they are getting to heavy for my wife to assist with, now she makes a brew while I erect the 390.
