The Alan Rogers site guide used to have a section for excellent municipal sites in France. We are going in June and would be grateful for any suggestions of quiet sites with clean facilities, preferably with good walks for the dog and in easy walking distance of a small town/village.Of course they don't have to be municipals but probably won't have pools, bars, entertainment, etc. I'm sure others will be interested in any postings.
I'll set the ball rolling with the site at Chaillac, which is a lovely site with very friendly wardens. It's in the CC book. Last year, worked out at under 80 Euros for 10 nights (!!) and we hardly used the car.
I know most of the sites are in the book but it's good to have personal recommendations and it saves a lot of sifting.
