Has anyone put a towbar with single electrics onto a Suzuki Grand Vitara 3

Door 2.0TD (Reg Date Aug 2005).

I have been looking at the wiring kits and I have seen some with a

multiplexed wiring system or a bulb failure monitor on the road lights. Has

the Vitara got these or do I just use the normal wiring kit.

Perhaps someone might be able to answer my question.

Many Thanks.

If your Suzuki has bulb failure warning you normaly use a wiring kit that is suitable with the cars bulb failure system.

If you use a basic wiring kit and relay and the car has bulb failure warning system, yiu can have problems with the warning system of the car.

If that helps and makes sense

Some manufacturers use a different relay if you fit towing wiring! You can then just use cheaper normal wiring kit.

Hello again the suzuki has a normal wiring circuit for the rear lamps no bulb failure device fitted. You can get at the wiring if you remove the panel holding the jack & wheel brace on the nearside boot. 7core cable can be fed down the side and will come out the bottem of side panel & fed along to tow bar plug. You will require a 12v feed for flasher relay & warning buzzer DONT use feed of aux plug in boot is only live with key in ign. You will have to bring wire from front. If you put back seats forward & remove rear side panel makes job easier. Good luck . If you require any information just come back on forum.
