Swanage/Poole

Can any of you lovely folks give a recommendation for a campsite around Swanage/Poole area?? I thought we would explore this area this year, having done Devon to death over the last 10 years.

Not bothered about big club houses but do like a good clean shower block and a well maintained site.

I've looked at Lytton Lawn and Durdle Door holiday park website and they both look good if rather expensive. Has anyone been to either of these sites?

Try Pear Tree Farm at Sandford just outside Wareham. Privately owned site with small shop facilities - no clubhouse but village pub with good food is five minutes walk away and they accept children in the pub for food. Toilte facilities on site are excellent and there is also a good dog walk if so required. Gates are locked at 11:00pm and security cameras are constantly focused on gates through out 24 hours.

We love Wareham Forest touring park, near Wareham.

Lovely wooded site, tidily kept, immaculate showers, small shop and outdoor pool. What makes it for us is that there are woodland walks in abundance direct from your caravan door. Really ideal for dog owners, walkers and cyclists.
