Swiss farm Camp / Four Oaks / Hurley Riverside Henley on Thames

Stayed at Four Oaks for two nights three weeks ago and have booked a fortnight in July. Usual Caravan Club standards etc. etc. Occasional boy racer noise from road though I suspect this is a weekend thing and was not disturbing. Swiss Farm, next door to Four Oaks, has a bar, outdoor pool and fishing lakes and is bigger - check out the web site. If you go onto www.multimap.com, enter the relevant post codes then go onto aerial photos you can get a fair idea of the layout of both sites. Never been to Hurley so cannot comment. Hope this is of help.

Neil,

Can you recommend any good local eateries please? Just basic pub meals sort of places. We found a Greek place in the Market place - The Olive Tree I think it was - great for a celebration for two but a bit pricy if you were treating a family.

Thanks MikeE

Thanks for your replies, we have booked the Swiss farm site because it has a pool for the children. I will let you now how it went when I return.

Ah yes Neil - know what you mean. We are a few years ahead of you and are in a different scene - but will put in some intense research for your benefit in the future. Thanks for the thought though. Mike

Hi

ust come back from staying at Swiss Farm, quiet site with quite a few visitors from Holland,Germany and Belguim, quite site for this time of year.Only 4 chidren in pool on Wednesday.

Would use this site again due to its location.

A 15 mins walk into Henley from this site and you are able to catch the train from here into London Paddington, changing first at Twyford cost

We also had a small gathering at Swiss Farm, they were lovely to us and we had a nice time except it rained down hill, through awning, they have done a lot of work to the site and it is going to be a lovely site when finished. Will definately go back.
