Hi Dave

Have stayed at Manor Farm, it is on the lake, not a swimmer so can't recall if it has a pool. It does have a restaurant but is the furthest away of the sites from the town.

We took our bikes found it very convenient.

There is a site at the end of lake Brienze that I seem to recall people speaking highly of.

We found the Inter-Laken was a very convenient hub.

I should think that it would take about half an hour to walk from Manor Farm to Inter-Laken via the footpaths.

Hi Dave

We have used Manor Farm a few times in the past and found it quite good with clean toilets and showers. I do not think there is a pool and seem to think that the play area for your aged children is limited. To get to the main centre you will need to drive, but I think the cost of parking for the day at the station is quite cheap. It will be worth your while buying a special 'rover' ticket for a few days and the children can buy a years ticket for very little. These will take you onto the cable cars, railways buses and boats. There is a lot to do and see in the area. However, we felt that the Jungfraujock train was not as good (or worth as much) as the Schilthorn (James Bond) cable car. Meals out tend to be very expensive. BUT a good and cheap meal can be had at the Coop just out of the centre of Interlaken. They tend to weigh your plate of food......so light creamy puddings are good value....Happy Travels BarryB

thanks for that. i think it might be something "grassi" that you mean at the end of the lake as i`ve heard good things also, but i think it`s a bit out of the way for what we want.are the paths tarmac between site and town or is it rough(i`m thinking fold up scooters!)?
