Hi,

We are hoping to go to Switzerland between christmas and new year. Can anyone recommend a nice site to stay on please? We were thinking of Manor Farm.

Many thanks,

Jonah.

Check. You may find that they close on the last day of October, opening again on the 1st April.

Thankyou all for your replies. I spoke to the caravan club yesterday and they say they can book Manor farm up until dec 31st, but the lady I spoke with was going to check if the site was open in january where by the caravan club could book it - we would want to spend new years eve there!!

We have been away between xmas and new year before but not abroad in the caravan!

Best wishes,

Jonah.

Hello, Manor Farm and Alpenblick (the site next door to Manor Farm) are both open all year. Also you could try the sites in Lauterbrennan and Grindlewald these are also all year round sites

Hello again, sorry I forgot, why not try ringing the sites direct, it will turn out cheaper in the the end. Have been to all these sites over the years and I can assure you they are brilliant. If you intend to go in the Summer season there is a good no very good site in Interlaken called Jungfrau 5 again book with the site

Thankyou Trevor, will do. I must admit, we are also considering Scotland or Ireland as we only have a week and was wondering whether it may be a bit of a trek to go to Switzerland for that amount of time. We really do fancy Switzerland though - maybe we can get some more respite time for my father-in-law then we can go for longer!

Thanks again for your help and advice, it has been much appreciated and HOPEFULLY we will get to Switzerland.

Cheers, Jonah.

Jonah,

It is a bit much just for the week - you really need an overnight stop down and another on the way back which seriously restricts the amount of time you get there. You could do it all in one go but that wouldn't be too enjoyable and would be very tiring unless driving was shared.

Cheers Steve, we will look into it.
