Hi did anybody get one of these from Aldi when they were on offer a couple of weeks ago? We got one and unknown to us so did our daughter who has tried hers out and found it "faulty". She turned it on to cook bacon and found as soon as it reached its temperture it turns off but takes 2 to 3 minuets before turning on again although it cools down quite quickly and stops cooking. At this rate it was taking some time to cook the bacon and it was drying out so how long was it going to take to cook a burger. She took it back and got it exchanged thinking it must be faulty, she tried the new one out again the same happened again reached temperture very quickly turned off had to wait 2 to 3 minuets and so on,this time she took it back and got a refund.
Our daughter visited us today and we told her we had purchased one of these electric grills and thats when she told us of the problem. We decided to try ours out and we have exactly the same problem, are we doing something wrong have read the instructions and nothing stands out. May be a faulty batch but our daughter purchased hers from another branch od Aldi's 40 miles away. From all the hype on these grills as they seem to be the ideal thing to take with us in the caravan we are really dissapointed.
