That sealant time of year.

The shower cubicle after 10 years needs resealing. I have the silicon sealant remover , knife, scraper and chemical. What’s the best sealant to use going forward?

If it really was a silicone and lasted 10 years that suggests it is up to the job and the application presented no real sealing and flexing challenges.

For optimum performance I would use a premium PU product, but that is not forgiving, so if you made a cosmetic mess of it, it will be there forever..

The very biggest obstacle to resealing a shower wall is making absolutely every trace of contamination such as soap residue is removed, so great care must be taken to ensure the surfaces are spotlessly clean.

Because a van wall flexes the original sealant would have been a flexible mastic, not silicone.

Use either Soudall Fixall or Sikaflex 512 but make sure you only apply it , and tool it to a smooth finish where you want it, as once set its there for life !!!!
