The netherlands

Considering a trip to he Netherlands this autumn or next spring. 2 adults going, so don’t need family facilities or a pool. Restaurant and supermarket nearby would be good. Within a not too long train journey of Amsterdam desirable. Clean and quality are top consideration.
Any suggestions.?
Thanks in advance

We enjoyed Koningshof, and out of holiday season should suit you well. Rijnsburg is within easy walking distance for shops etc, and Leiden is near (ancient university town) and there are frequent trains to Amsterdam from nearby Voorhout. The site hires bikes and you can cycle, mostly off-road, to nearby beaches, Katwijk being the quieter and Noorwijk a bit more commercial. We found the site shop well stocked with prices similar to the town shops, and the on-site restaurant and takeaway also reasonable with food fresh-cooked to order. Some pitches are designed to be traffic free with cars parked in an adjacent area.

Another vote for Koningshof, we stayed there for 5 days last summer. We had a "Super Service" pitch, which was a decent size - they can be a bit small / crammed together otherwise, but that was the same for other sites we stayed on in Netherlands.
We took the train from Leiden to Amsterdam, which was quick, easy and cheap. Camp shop is good as is the little cafe on site, or there are plenty of nearby restaurants. Katwijk and Noordwijk nearby have beautiful beaches, miles of golden sands with boardwalks, bars etc or if you prefer something a little more unspoilt Langevelderslag 10km to the north leads to the same beaches but without the towns / restaurants / bars.

Seems you can book through the C&CC - here's there link!

Consider buying an ACSI card as it may be considerably cheaper. It is showing on campingcard.co.uk as available at Euro 20 a night from 24 August. https://www.campingcard.co.uk/netherlands/south-holland/rijnsburg/vakantiepark-koningshof-101320/
