On to a seasonal pitch for next year :)

Got fed up with it spending too much time on the drive and not being used enough, so we are trying it out next year to give us more time away, site is just over an hours drive from home so after work on a Friday we can shoot off and have the weekend away. :woohoo:
Bad news is.... it will only be every other weekend, OH works the other one. :( oh well we should still be able to double last years nights away :woohoo: :) B)

We have gone down the same route with the wife's shift pattern it meant for us one weekend in three :( but this way with everything being left set up :) she can go over to it on her day's off through the week, so she will get more use out of the van than me, but I can still go over for the weekend with the dogs when she is at work

Kev, we have loved having the van on a seasonal pitch. It has mean't at least twice as much time in it than we would have done. The only thing that grieves me is that the site only opens 1st March to 31 October. Not an issue this winter as we are having some building work done at home, but will be on the look out for an all year seasonal next year. Shame cos the site we are on is otherwise perfect.
You have done the right thing.

Thanks Lady Mel, we are really looking forward to it, the owner even said we could have the rest of this year for free, but we do use it at Christmas for the daughter and her other half, so taking it down early January........dont know what she will do next year though!!!
Am now the proud owner of a full size Dorema awning which is like brand new, it also came with an annexe to fit on the end, and for the first time ever our son, his partner and our two grandaughter's are even thinking of joining us for the odd weekends. Things are looking rosey in the garden :) :)

Oh and about Ladygaga driving to and from work from the site is another story......she will drive locally (around Town) but that's about it. :(

Mine is kept in 'practise' with towing, (You never know when you can't?) She doesn't get much practise as I prefer to drive, as she knits and I don't!

gotta say it - I am as good at towing the van as most 'blokes' except when it comes to reversing. I know some of you saw this evidence at Woosifest this year!!!

What do you mean?...........I was impressed with your blind side reverse. :)
You did not rely on a mover did you......and NO I don't want to borrow any money ;)
