Hi can anyone help.
the red indicator light no longer works on my cassette. i have cleaned out the cassette to ensure no paper is holding the float down and still cannot get the light to work.. is there a fuse for this as i can only find one fuse in the compartment and that is for the flush motor

Thanks

I presume by age of your caravan it is a C250model.There is a fuse at the far end.Above this is a small circuit board with a reed switch, which float in cassette operates when full.If float is still in place in cassette(this can be dislodged by excessive shaking when emptying) test reed switch by holding a magnet agaist it, then light should come on if ok.

Hi Birdman, thanks for replying. the float valve in the cassette is there and moves freely up and down. inf i look into the locker where the cassette sits there is a pink fuse, where is this reed switch that you mention

Hi Tony. If you remove your cassette look at the rear of the housing you will see what looks just like a small cicuit board to your right hand side level with the top of the cassette.
If you have changed the fuse which should be a 3 amp blade ., then fill the cassette with water from the inside of your van and see if the warning light illuminates.
If you now get a result I suggest when you empty you casstte put in a good 2 ltrs of water first, what we found was some toilet papers are more absorbant than others so that the water cant lift the float. I hope this helps
Sir Roger
