Doing a preseason clean on the cassette,I put the slider plate wrong way round resulting in the cassette getting fast,I managed to free it off and replace ok.During trips this season I’ve noticed the blade not quite opening fully,on investigation I found in the housing on the van, there is a plastic sprocket operated by the slider bar on the toilet inside the van.whilst freeing off the fast cassette I must have moved the sprocket out of mesh. There is just one screw to free off and realign the sprocket,I was just one tooth out.Hope this helps someone sometime

This is very common if you force the lever too hard either way or have something jammed in the blade. The gear and crescent with teeth are vary flimsey. You can get it back in the correct tooth without undoing the screw if you hold the cassette opening plate with a pair of angled grips, and give the lever a good pull in whichever direction needed. Helps to keep well lubricated with the Thetford lubricant spray which lasts years giving it a spray 2 or 3 times a year,
