thetford toilet

hi all, has any one ever changed the manual pump on a thetford toilet? its a 200 cw i think. we were coming out of frankly services and went through a puddle, that turned out to be a big hole. the first time we tried to flush, water came out of the plunger. ive looked and you can buy the pump complete, but just thought id ask to see if any ones done one. kind regards raymond h.

Hi Raymond, extend the handle, remove the two visable screws, pull the handle firmly but carefully toward you, this will ease the bezel of the adhesive strip that holds it tight, once released from the sealant slide bezel up the shaft, this exposes four screws, remove these then lift the whole pump out of the cabinet, you may have to wriggle it a bit, remove the supply pipe, refit pipe to new pump, refit in reverse. All replacement instructions are in the packaging of the new pump. Good Luck.

hi, thanks for that metz. i did see the two screws, but didnt want to unscrew them untill i was certain. i thought i might loose something inside. regards raymond h.
