thinking of going the week after easter would be grateful for any info never stayed on a race course before wondered what the facilities are like thanks

only been to uttoxeter racecourse it is great on race day sit by caravan and watch races plenty of space to walk the dog

Kathyrn, We use Thirsk as a stopping off for going north and returning south, The faciltys are okay Elect hot water showers, the site itself is one large grass area, where you park in rows.

Tesco 24 hr is right opp fuel 3 mins away,Thirsk town centre is 10 mins walk lovely fish and chips there.

Lots to see both the Dales and moors are with easy reach.

On race days unlike Uttoxeter

you are moved to a site alongside the race track as they use the site for carparking, you will be okay as the first race meetings are April the 15/16 & 30 th Aprl. If you are approching from the A1 The site ent on the left opposite Fords cars.
