Timber choice

I went to Wickes yesterday to check prices and timber sizes for our damp restoration job but I'm not sure what timber to buy, they sell tanalised timber and kiln dried timber and of coarse planed softwood, I'd prefere to use the tanalised timber as its the perfect size and its full of preservative but does anyone know if gorilla glue will stick to tanalised timber please, if it won't stick I'll use the kiln dried timber and apply plenty of preservative, thanks in advance.

Sean.

Tanalised Timber from most merchants I believe has solvents in it, that's why I didn't use it, you can get treated solvent free timber from most landscape company's selling fencing, decking etc ,
On a wheel arch repair I did I could not source the correct size so planed down some timber to correct size, purchased a 5 litre tube of solvent free preservative again from a landscape company and soaked the timber in a tub for a couple of days, Good Luck.

Thanks for the advice mate, I'll search online for a supplier in my area (Sheffield) and hopefully get some this weekend, trying to get everything we need so me and my wife can make a start on it next weekend.

Sean.
