Tourer storage in the Lake District

Hello fellow caravaners, can anyone advise decent sites in the L/D, I am presently storing and pitching in North Yorkshire but am looking ahead to try out some newer pastures with the view to store and pitch next year. We have been regular visitors to th L/D but that was before buying a caravan and to be honest If you dont have a van then you dont pay much attention to the site locations. We prefere a quieter type of site but one that has storage facilities, any information would be of great help and appreciated.

Hi Colin,

May be worthwhile looking at something like Englethwaite Hall, CC site you could either try for a seasonal pitch and then move as you wish. Or go for storage at the site.

Hi, we stayed recently at the caravan and camping clubs "Windermere" site. The outfit next but one to us had arranged the store and camp on here and loved it. The site itself is immaculate and the staff were excellent. The toilet and shower blocks were great. It has a small bar on site but this shuts 10:30pm therefore casuing no oise problems. In all we will certainly be returning especially as it is open all year round.

Seem to remember that Wild Rose Park at Appleby offered storage facilities, but may have been only between consecutive weekend stays.
