We are thinking of taking our caravan over to france in August possibly with other family members but one has a twin axle and the other an old caravan (30 yrs). Does anyone no if there are problems booking onto campsites with this scenario
I went last year with relations and they had a twin axel, we found no problems although we did book in advance and warn the sites of that we were bringing a twin axel van. Not aware of any problems with old van. Hope this helps
Hi Kaz....don't think you will have a problem with the old one but some of the sites and pitches will be tight for the twin axle. Don't go near the coast. The pitches tend to get a lot tighter there and smaller. Have a look at the Castell's chain of sights, their pitches are generally very good.
Just looking at a castel site, 'Le Pre du Chateau de Careil' . The site looks nice, but looking at my microsoft autoroute the area looks quite 'built up', ie there are a lot of roads / lanes in that area. Has anyone been there?
