Changing the car for a Kia Sportage, I was asked Did I require a single or double electric sockets. Dam I thourght I'm not sure

I own A Bailey Limousin on a 4 wheel chasis but most of the time I tow a camping trailer to and from my residential camp site.

Again just to add to my question. My caravan has the 13 pin plug and the trailer still has of old type plug. In the past I have used a covertor lead from the caravan to the car.

Please help I need to tell the garage to-morrow.

Well you need a 13 pin socket fitting to your car not the twin sockets. You can then buy a 13 pin to a two plug converter for you trailer.

I'd go for the single 13-pin socket on the car and use an adapter for the trailer, in other words exactly the opposite of what you are doing at the moment. The double socket system is bound to be phased out over the years so you might as well use the opportunity to change over now. The 13-pin system is technically superior anyway.

Will you ever want to tow the van again ?

If so make sure that the 13pin socket is wired up so you have power to charge your battery & for running your fridge....

It's easy for them to sort it now rather than later ......
