Towball height setting on Santa Fe 2 (07)

If anyone tows with the above can you please advise which setting you have your towball on - upper or lower bolt holes.

My van seems to ride a little low on the lower setting so thinking of lifting it to the higher setting

Thanks

If you have a choice of settings, set it to the one which brings it into line with the norm, i.e. with the centre of the towball between 350 and 420mm above the ground.

Thanks Lutz - I had thought of that but before I change I thought I would get the experience of others.

Problem appears that on a "non-load-heavy" journey the van appears to tow slightly nose down, but on a "loaded" (car that is)the caravan seems quite nose down. Just wondered whether or not other Santa Fe users have their towball set on the high setting.

Thanks all the same

If the caravan is appreciably nose down when the towball is within the specified standard height, then this has nothing to do with the car but the caravan. Maybe it has non-standard, larger (bigger diameter) wheels? Regardless, the nose down attitude does not, in itself, represent a fault that definitely needs to be corrected.
