Towcar for Dethleffs 550L

We have a 2004 Dethleffs 550L, with a maximum towing weight of 1500kg. I'm currently towing with an Audi A6 1.9TDI multitronic estate but looking to change in the next few months. Can anyone recommend a suitable towcar? It'll be a diesel, preferably automatic and have a little more power than the Audi (130BHP). My current possibilities include the Volvo XC70, VW Passat, Nissan X-trail and the new Freelander. Any advice welcome!
 
Have a look at the Honda CRV the new one has a 2000kg limit, I drive the older 2006 style on a 55 plate (same diesel engine used in both), good when towing and servicing costs can be fixed upfront - mine averages
