hi guys,

new to caravanning and own a vw passat 1.9 tdi 115 bhp estate v reg. need a 5 berth van and all the kit, is my towcar sufficient or do i need to upgrade? any advice would be appreciated.

Depend on your choice of van. Keep it light and you will be O.K as you have a competent towcar.

Just check your weights BEFORE you buy - and if a dealer is involved sing LOUDLY whilst he tells you everything is alright. Do your own homework.
