hi new to caravanning and could do with some advice. our present car is a laguna ii 1.8 petrol and wondered if it would tow our favourite viewed van so far a swift archway barnwell. is anybody using this model renault for towing at present or in past.any advice would be great thanks . martin

If you have never towed before CC suggests Van should not weigh more than 85% of your Renaults Kerbside weight.

Things aren't as simple as that with Renaults. Their maximum permissible gross train weight is often less than the sum of the GVW of the car and the max. towload of the caravan. This means that a fully laden car may not even be able to tow 85% of the kerbweight. One must check the manufacturer's specs first.
