Towing mirrors for Audi A6

I'm struggling with my tried and trusted Milenco mirrors on my 2024 Audi A6, the mirrors hit the door glass when they fold in on locking (yes, this can be disabled but I forget every damn time.....) but more worrying is that the clamps on the mirrors don't fit well on the mirror housings due to their shape and the lack of clearance/gap for the clamp leg to insert fully between the mirror housing and glass,

Before everyone shouts EMUK!!!!! they aren't available for UK spec C8 A6's (already spoke to them), so are there any others out there that offer a secure connection to the car????

You cannot do that, infinite adjusting won't clear the door glass when folding. Even if they did clear it doesn't solve the issue of not clamping the mirror housing securely.

Looked at those as they overcome the clamping issue but the problem is the mirrors fold in so tight to the door glass that any towing mirror that has anything projecting forward of the mirror hits the door glass when folding.

Yes and no are the relevant answers there! To be fair they did go away and ask and suggested EMUK but sadly they don't fit the UK versions. It's trivial I know but irritating at the same time!

I might just glue a mirror to the back of my hand and stick it out of the window when I need to overtake!

I cannot explain how I did it as it has been a few years since I had the issue, but I remember altering the top of the clamp which holds the bar so the one nearest the window was to the rear of the car and the outside one towards the front. So that the bar was no longer parrellel to the car mirror. In this way, when the car mirrors closed, the towing mirrors were held away.

I have used the Dutch Repusel mirrors for over twenty years on different cars. They are held on by straps over the wing mirror. Not sure if they will fit your mirrors but worth a look.
