Towing Mirrors for new shape Range Rover

Hi There ,

Can anyone recommend some towing mirrors for the New shape Range Rover ?

My Grand Aero's do not fit because of the curvature of the car Mirror housings , Land Rover do not list any - and had no suggestions !

I do not want the suction type which fit onto the existing Door Mirror Glass because this restricts the view and to be honest the Cars door mirror is what I use 90% of the time.

So short of trying to Modify the Aero's I am not sure what will fit ?

Cheers
Andy

Similar problem with my X5 but bit my tongue and against my wishes I did buy the suck it and see mirrors. If you position them correctly they are not too bad.I find actually the mirrors on the X5 are fine but it just make you legal

Thanks for your replies
The cars door mirror is a problem on 2 counts , firstly the top edge of the mirror curves down towards the outer edge so the top and bottom edge of the mirrors are not parallel plus the thickness around the rim varies significantly making the Millenco aero type clamps a non starter , secondly the curvature of the back housing makes it look like any mirror with straps would slip off!

A suck it and see ( my least favourite ) has such a small glass but at the moment is my only option - not good.

Still can't believe land rover does not offer anything !
On the plus side the electric deployable tow ball is neat !

Same problem with the mirrors on the new Discovery Sport, which has replaced the Freelander. Mentioned this to my Landrover Dealer, who had no idea the Grand Aero mirrors wouldn't fit and didn't have an answer!

I use the model that Dustydog linked to and they seem to fit very well.

The rubber straps stretch by a huge amount and accommodate a wide variety of thicknesses and the curvature is usually no problem either.

The rubber straps just don't slide at all, they grip the mirror tenaciously it would be well worth borrowing one and see how you get on with it. There is bound to be someone on the sites you visit that would be happy to let you try it for size.... especially if there is beer involved!

They cost about £15 each to buy, so not too expensive.
Regards to all and of course
Happy Caravanning

We have used the Milenco Gramd Aeros on the latest Discovery 4, Range Rovers, Range Rover Sport and Discovery Sport at the Tow Car Awards, and don't remember having any problems with them. If you look at the Tow Car Awards website, you might be able to see how they were fitted.
