Can anyone advise the best towing mirrors for a Nisson XTrail?

My husband is keen to have mirrors that show the exact position of trafic on the road.

I have an X Trail and I find the Milenco mirrors that attach to the shell of the wing mirror excellent. It's purely personal taste, but I chose convex mirrors as opposed to flat. I find my field of view is excellent. Also, when I flick the switch to fold the mirrors in, the towing mirrors fold in at the same time and are stored well out of harms way. Really good when you are on a ferry and a gang of school kids come rushing past.

If you do go for the Milenco, get some spare rubber feet. It's not a question of IF you lose one of the originals, but WHEN.
 
The new Teardrop shaped ones from Milenco are excellent the view of what is behind you is superb, and the rubber feet look secure too.
 
Also spare Milenco straps that fit around the car mirror - I found I needed two to wrap around Kia Sedona mirrors and had to hold them together with mini cable ties otherwise they come apart when removing from the car - also they do tend to weaken over time.
