Towing Vehicle for Compass Liberte

Hi All,

We are looking for a new towing vehicle, so my question is:-

If our Compass Liberte has a MTPLM of 1515kgs/29.76cwt what would be the minimum towing weight requirement of the new vehicle we might but?!

Any info would be much appreciated before we go ahead and buy anything.

Hi Vicky - the Caravan Club suggest that your Caravan should not weigh more than 85% of your towcar. You need a vehicle with a kerbside weight in excess of 1783kg. This site lists most makes & models and gives Kerb weights.

My personal choice is Turbo Diesel for pulling power and economy.

We'll check out the website you mentioned.

We tow with a TD a the mo and will probably get another.
