i am thinking of buying a chrysler challenger 2.2 to tow my 1400 abi award morning star twin axle, has anybody had any experience of towing with this car.
Pardon my ignorance, but what is a Chrysler Challenger? The only Challengers that I know is the Dodge Challenger of the 70's or a Mitsubishi Challenger (the Australian Shogun/Pajero) but both have a much larger engine than a 2.2.
As you mention it's a 2.2, I take it you are referring to the PT Cruiser 2.2CRD. If I am correct, you will not be able to tow your caravan with that car because of its very low max.permissible towload of only 1000kg.
I'm not aware that Chrysler make a model called a Challenger - the nearest model to your description is a Voyager? However the Voyager has a 2.5 or 2.8 diesel engine which I believe is the same engine that's in the Jeep. Good engine so I'm told.
I had a voyager grand for a week. The engine was very lazy.
Have a look at the Kia Sedona (if you're not after badges). Exacly the same as the voyager but with a decent 2.9 deisel engine and prices start at 17K.
