travel to Sweden

We have gone a few different ways.

You could head north into Denmark, then across the bridge to Sweden.

Of head through Germany to Puttgarden and take a ferry to the Danish island of Lolland, then to the bridge to Sweden.

Or head across Germany to Sassnitz on the island of Rugen and take the ferry to Trelleborg in Sweden.

For sites check out the CC Europe book or the ACSI book/CD, and the various tourist offices

We found food prices not too bad, don't drink beer so can't help there!

If you think like a local, it helps. Rather than looking for what you are used to at home.

The meatballs and meatcakes are delicious.

We always take basics such as tea bags, marmalade etc, and if there is anything you cannot live without, take a supply!

Sweden (and Denmark) are much cheaper than Norway.

Sending this from the Norfolk Line ferry on route to Sweden.

I will keep you posted on sites and prices. We are traveling via Holland and Germany to Denmark then across the expensive bridge to Sweden. To-night we are staying at Camping La Licorne a municipal in Dunkerque, the only site that we have booked. To-morrow we will buy wine, beer and rillette before setting off.
