Travelling from N Ireland to Gloucester

Hi all any1 got any good advise? Gonna take caravan on a road trip for first time to the mainland destination Gloucester from ferry port in stanraer. lookin to make a few stops on the way down for a few days the gloucester for 5 days then back up again hoping to spend a fortnight all together. any site on the way down and up again or just general driving tips would be helpful. I have travelled alot with van all round ireland just not on the mainland UK.

Thx John

Hi John

If you want to stop twice, I'd recommend one stop at the Lake District and another in the Peak District. Caravan Club site at Troutbeck Head is a fairly easy run from the M6 and gets you into the Northern lakes. Then maybe the Caravan Club site at Leek for a look around the Peaks, then it's not too fat to Gloucester.

Hope you enjoy mainland UK. Cheers
