What works for many things is mitre glue. I have used it for countless things.

Yes its quick drying. Small bottle is the glue and the tin is aerosol-activator, about 30 seconds.

If you prefer a tape roll cut to the size required then this may be of use. I have not used this particular manuf but relied on a 3M black reel when reaffixing the rubber door seals on a series of Ford Focus cars - you often see strips hanging out of the door sills when the OEM adhesive fails. Advertises indoor or outdoor and waterproof use.
As you say a common fault on the Focus, my daughter’s 2014 seals just unbonded themselves.

No they didn’t fall off. The lower section at the bottom of the door could became loose and could be caught as the door shut then dangling down.
