Last week we tried to level our van using levellers, but although the motor mover rollers would turn they would slip on the wet wheel. I contacted Truma about this and they said that as levellers have a slope gradient of 1 in 4 and the Truma can only handle a 1 in 10 gradient this may cause the rollers to slip. In addition, if the tyres are of the Hankook variety as the compound is harder than normal, this may also cause the rollers to slip if the wheels were wet.
Surely if the motor mover would not work on certain makes of tyres that are used on caravans, this should be stated prior to one spending £1400. As levellers are generally very short and only used on one side of the caravan, surely the other side should have enough impertus to move the caravan up the leveller.
Are they trying to pull the wool over my eyes or is this genuine and I have to either get four new tyres or the motor mover replaced with another?
