Morning Everyone

I know this topic has been raised before, but do you think I can find it!

Has anybody got a Truma SE motor mover fitted to their van? Thinking of getting one fitted as husband suffers from a bad back and feel this will make things easier for us both?

Your comments would be much appreciated

Hi Di

We had a Truma II fitted to our van in April last year as I was about to have a hip replacement and we think it is marvellous. It is so precise when positioning it to hook up, you just have to wind down the jockey wheel in it slots straight in. We did use it a lot last year without any problems. The engineer installed the mover whilst we were on site in Scarborough and it came with a 3 year warranty.

We then changed our van over the winter and had itthe mover transferred over by the dealer and it was fine for the first three times out this year. We went to Weymouth for the whole of June and we needed the van to be facing towards the sea, slightly downhill. It worked fine whilst positioning the van but as we were levelling one side it stopped working. The van was almost level so we were able to leave it like that.

I phoned truma and explained the situation and they arranged to send an engineer out 7 days later. The engineer duly arrived on site on the given day and replaced the control unit and remote, which is now the same one as the SE model. On leaving the site in Weymouth we just spun the caravan around with the mover and hooked up to the car without any effort. The mover is working fine again and we have been on 3 trips since coming back from Weymouth. I would certainly recommend them.

We've had a Truma SE on our Senator for 3 years now. Despite being towed through the mud regularly (our storage pitch gets a bit boggy) its never failed to work.
