Truma Ultrastore Tripping Electric

Hi, I have a 450w Trumal Ultrastore which trips the electric as soon as I turn it on. I was thinking it is most likely a faulty element however I have noticed that it also happens if I try and use it on gas. Any ideas? Being trying to get my local service guy round but he is booked up for the foreseeable .
 
There is no way operating the gas side of the heater should cause the RCD or MCB to trip. I suggest you seek a Approved workshop Scheme engineer to attend to sort it out for you.
