Truma Ultrastore water heater

Hi everyone

I am a new member needing help with a truma ultrastore water heater fitted to my sterling eccles amber 2003 model. The unit lights fine but after a short time, 1 to 2 minutes approx the red light comes on, so for two days had no hot water. However turning the temp dial down to 50 from 60 the heater works fine. Usual checks carried out, boiler full, outer cover off, new gas bottle attached but refuses to work above 50 degrees. Any ideas please. Unit has been working fine until last week.
 
It could be a problem with the wall switch , or the boiler.
Best idea to get a mobile engineer to fix it , will save you buying the wrong bits and the problems getting access to the boiler if it is that .
 
Thanks for the reply, will try that . I did contact Truma service, they said to send them the pcb for testing or could be the switch.
