Trumatic Caravan Heater

Wonder if anyone can help. we have a Trumatic Heater in our caravan as is in most caravans and mtorhomes etc. My problem is that the front keeps jumping off whilst in transit, I'm so fed up with it. End up spending first half hour trying to fix it back on then give it up as a bad job and end up putting electricions tape all around the front to hold it on.
~Any ideas or advice will be most gratefully received.
THANKS

First thing to do , if not already done, get the caravan wheels balanced.
The Truma fire front clips into recesses at the bottom, each side, then pushes over spring clips at the top, each side.
Sometimes the spring clips are bent the wrong way, they should be horizontal to the fire.
Another fault is that dome heded screws were used to secure the fire back in place which stops the fire front going back far enough to lock in.

A last ditch solution is to fit a screw between the top grill and top of fire, through the fire surround at the back, in the centre, into the wood .

A lot of the problem is your tow vehicle, it is not the ideal as it has too harsh springing, transmitting shocks to the van more than a softer sprung vehicle.

Nothing like a practical solution, hey just pop to your local garage and buy a new car to solve your problem heater cover!! No wonder people don't hang around long with that sort of advice without even knowing if someone wants, needs or can afford to change their car!!!

Who has said get a new car?
What was said is that essentially commercial type vehicles, which HI Lux et al are, give a harsher ride, and transmit more shocks to the caravan.
No one has said change your car.

Actually it's not the car because I've only had the car about four weeks. The heater front has been jumping off for nearly twelve months now i'm sick of it.

I consider myself an expert on this. In my last van the front fell off every time i towed. It was screwed on at the top as well Over 3 years I had two fire boxes and three fronts all under warranty. Eventually I wrote a letter to both Bailey and Truma. Bailey arranged for Truma to investigate. I took the van by appointment to Truma and they found the fire had been fitted too far back. They adjusted it and the front never fell off again. What's more it didn't have a screw! That made life easier when it came to battery change.
