This is probably the most pathetic technical question ever posted, but reflects the level of expertise you are dealing with. Inside our Swift Challenger, over the front windows we have an inset clock. It is still at Greenwich Mean Time, and I can't see how to alter it. It's probably obvious but not to me. I'm quite happy to keep deducting an hour but that is really pathetic.

Mel, just pull the clock out of its housing, it is only a push fit.

Once removed, there is a cover on the back which pulls off and the adjusting wheel can be found under this cover.

Adjust the clock, replace the rear cover and push the clock back into its housing.

As resident Horologist here *blush*..

Buy another one thats set to BST and alternate them everytime the hour changes.

See.... it`s simple if you know the tricks of the trade

I'm glad somebody else asked this question, I nearly broke my neck trying to get my head in the front locker trying to see behind the bl**dy thing in my new Challenger, so armed with this new knowledge I can now bring the van into summer time

Who needs a clock in a van anyway? Hang a picture over it and if anything needs doing "on time" explain that you are on holiday and that you will get around to it. In your own good time.

I have a stock of roundtoits that I'm willing to part with, for a small fee.

Open overhead locker either side and there is a hole about 40m/m dia. Reach into it and push the clock thru' and as already said pull of back cover and adjusting wheel is there along with battery if need replaced . Then push straight back in ... voila !! job done.

Thank you one and all. My other half was going to pull it out with the usual brute force and ignorance but I said "not until I've asked the forum". We'll give it a go. I'll post again if it won't go back in!!
